Yay! I got my ring back from the jeweller's yesterday, and it fits! And it's shiny! *squeaks*
I had a bit of a panic moment when I got back from Aikido yesterday. I didn't wear the ring to class, obviously, since I had already managed to hurt myself _washing my hands_ and I didn't want to seriously injure anyone in the class. But when I got back, I found that my hands had swollen a bit (from the change in usual circulation patterns, I guess) and I couldn't get my ring on! And once I finally forced it on, I suddenly realized that I couldn't get it off--what if it was cutting off circulation? Eek! But once my hands went back to normal, it fit fine again.
Oh, and speaking of Aikido, I _hurt_. This is what I get for not exercising enough over break.
*squeaks again* Shiny! Oh, and apparently diamonds have some magical ability to suck the IQ right out of you, because I had a bloody hard time concentrating on _anything_ yesterday--I was too giddy. It's getting better, though--I'm sort of getting used to the ring being there, and furthermore, I'm no longer mauling myself every time I wash my hands or try to tuck in my shirt. It still gets caught on my pockets, though.
