So... sleepy
Oct. 27th, 2004 10:00 amI woke up this morning with "Hotel California" inexplicably stuck in my head. Which made it very difficult to maintain focus on clams in Invert Paleo.
Yesterday was an interesting day. I had a lot of energy in the afternoon, and it was a beautiful day, so I blew off my homework, grabbed my camera and took a walk. I wandered out to Frontier park and worked off some steam on the swingset. I must have spent a long time there, because I have blisters on my palms from the swing chains now.
Chris had a bit of a birthday party at the Center last night, which involved Superman: The Movie (courtesy of Chris), flaming vodka (courtesy of Cecilia), and a chocolate Spiderman cake (courtesy of Jill). It also involved just about every guy in the building demanding to take Chris out for drinks. Poor guy must have gotten very tired of explaining that he doesn't drink, no, not even a little bit, he has his reasons, etc etc etc. Cecilia just brought the vodka because she wanted to see it burn. Cecilia is like that. She also has a short attention span, which frustrated Chris a bit since he brought Superman specifically for her to see it, and she kept ducking out to burn more vodka or check on the cake or talk to people.
I, on the other hand, was perfectly happy where I sat. I have decided that one of the perks of dating is having someone to snuggle with during a movie.
And, y'know, when Christopher Reeve was Superman, you could really believe that those glasses were all it took to make a convincing alter-ego...
